The bill (Reg. No. 2062a) suggests amending article 8 of the Law “On Protection of Consumers’ Rights” in order to bring its provisions in line with requirements of article 708 of the Civil Code of Ukraine, which should increase protection of consumers’ rights in case of purchase of goods of improper quality.

In particular, it is stipulated provide the consumer, at his/her option, with the right to return the purchased commodity of improper quality to a seller without mandatory repair (elimination of deficiencies).
